Religious Wedding in the Orthodox Church of Florence with a Tuscan Style Reception.
This Russian couple chose to have their wedding at the Church of the Nativity of Christ and St. Nicholas in Florence, the most important Russian church in Italy. While they have already been married for many years with two beautiful children, they decided it was time to commemorate their union with a religious ceremony. The angelic voices of the choir, the warmth of the candles, the divinity of the icons, and the regality of the crowns added a mystical aura to their wedding ceremony rituals.
The wedding reception took place at a charming villa in the Tuscan countryside. Family and friends basked in the cozy atmosphere and the jazzy music while sipping bubbly rosé prosecco. The guests also enjoyed an alfresco six-course dinner with a breathtaking view of the Florentine hills.
To get the full Italian experience, the bride and groom held a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and treated their guests to an authentic Tuscan dining experience: Red wine, Florentine steak (rare, of course), Italian music, and tasty Italian treats.
